Mr. Avery joined Brunswick in 1991 serving in a variety of IT roles before assuming his current position in 2002. As Chief Information Officer, Mr. Avery is responsible for all aspects of Brunswick’s global information technology. Mr. Avery first served in Brunswick’s Life Fitness Division as Manager of Application Development. In 1993, he was promoted to the division’s IT director, and six years later became a Vice President in 1999.
Ellen Barry joined the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority in February 2000 as Chief Information Officer responsible for information technology initiatives for the Authority. The Authority owns and manages McCormick Place, Navy Pier, and the Authority’s Corporate Center. As a senior vice president at The First National Bank of Chicago, he held a number of general manager roles and was the CIO for the corporate cash management business. In 1994, he founded Anexsys which was responsible for the $400 million contract to build the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System for the Internal Revenue Service. Subsequently, he has been the CIO for a major fleet leasing company and consulted on cash management risk and technology.
Sharon Burns is the Chief Information Officer at the Foundation. In this position, she leads the Foundation's Information Services Department and is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the Foundation's worldwide information and computing systems. She oversees the direction, support and maintenance of all hardware and software systems used by the Foundation.
